Enbridge, true to form, says that the ordinance doesn&#8217;t apply to them&#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/grangehallpress.com\/Enbridgeblog\/2012\/10\/13\/michigan-townships-association-supports-polar-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\">a tune they&#8217;ve been playing<\/a> for a very long time.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, in the scheme of things&#8211; that is, compared, say, to a spill&#8211; starting up noisy construction vehicles might not seem to be a big deal. But this little incident illustrates a number of points we&#8217;ve made around here<em> ad infinitum<\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When Enbridge says <a href=\"http:\/\/grangehallpress.com\/Enbridgeblog\/2012\/10\/09\/what-it-means-to-enbridge-to-be-a-good-neighbor\/\" target=\"_blank\">it wants to be a good neighbor<\/a>, it doesn&#8217;t mean it.<\/li>\n<li>When Enbridge says it is <a title=\"Enbridge Continues to Struggle with the Truth\" href=\"http:\/\/grangehallpress.com\/Enbridgeblog\/2014\/04\/18\/enbridge-continues-to-struggle-with-the-truth\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;sensitive&#8221; to local ordinances <\/a>and regulations, it is simply not telling the truth.<\/li>\n<li>Enbridge does <a href=\"http:\/\/grangehallpress.com\/Enbridgeblog\/2012\/08\/04\/tales-and-lessons-from-the-ntsb-report-part-1\/\" target=\"_blank\">not learn from its mistakes.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The <a title=\"Why Enbridge can\u2019t do better, part 2\" href=\"http:\/\/grangehallpress.com\/Enbridgeblog\/2013\/06\/28\/why-enbridge-cant-do-better-part-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">reason Enbridge can&#8217;t do better<\/a>&#8212; at this point, the conclusion is inescapable&#8211; has to be because it just doesn&#8217;t want to.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Like it would kill them to just wait until 7 am to start up their trucks.
