{"id":488,"date":"2012-09-19T12:43:33","date_gmt":"2012-09-19T16:43:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/grangehallpress.com\/Enbridgeblog\/?p=488"},"modified":"2012-10-31T19:08:54","modified_gmt":"2012-10-31T23:08:54","slug":"good-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/grangehallpress.com\/Enbridgeblog\/2012\/09\/19\/good-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Good News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This morning, we were in the midst of revisiting our series on the <a title=\"On Enbridge\u2019s \u201copen and honest dealings,\u201d Part 2\" href=\"http:\/\/grangehallpress.com\/Enbridgeblog\/2012\/09\/12\/on-enbridges-open-and-honest-dealings-part-2\/\">outrageous recent statements in<em> Inside Climate News<\/em> by Enbridge spokesman Larry Springer<\/a>&#8212; and then we were planning to take the dog out for a run (we do have a life beyond Enbridge, you know!)&#8211; when we received word that an Oakland County Circuit Court judge has dismissed an Enbridge condemnation suit, finding that the language in Enbridge&#8217;s proposed easement agreement was over-broad.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, we&#8217;re not surprised to know that the case involved another example of Enbridge over-reaching. But it is nice to see that once in a while, their attempts can be thwarted. We&#8217;re also pleased to be able to congratulate\u00a0attorney Kim Savage (who received some assistance from the crackerjacks at Ackerman, Ackerman and Dynkowski)\u00a0on this one, as we&#8217;ve long admired her dedication and intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>This ruling also has some important potential implications that extend well beyond the specific property owners involved.
