Thanks to the extraordinary staff at the Pipeline Safety Trust, we have a little more information about the proposed route for the ET Rover natural gas pipeline. That map (reproduced below)– it’s not very detailed– and some additional resources for landowners are available at the PS Trust website.
We’ll also link to that information and more on our Facebook page. If you are interested in this project or concerned about whether and how it will affect you (and you’re a social media user), please stop by and “like” us. We can post speedier updates on all of this there.
Does anyone know the exact route of the pipeline. Is there a more detailed map
No as of yet, Ruth. It may even be that they haven’t determined a precise route yet. But I’m trying to find out.
Thanks Jeff. I talked with the woman at Rover she tried to explain it to me but was very confusing. She made it sound as though it is going around the east side of North lake but not sure. If you find anything out would you please contact me. Thanks so much. Ruth
Will do. What number did you call to speak with them, Ruth?
It was one of the more recent posts I believe
We got the letter also. I called the guy Jim Carter 602.999.9290 and recorded the conversation, if anyone is interested. His email address is james.carter@contractlandstaff.com
you can listen to the call here: https://soundcloud.com/zelch/energy-transfer-rover-pipeline
Brilliant, Chad. Thanks for this. Mr. Carter was not entirely forthright with you. You should check out some of the resources we’ve posted on our FB page. They explain the process much more clearly than he did. https://www.facebook.com/Line6Bblog
Just got the letter. Looks like they are following the 6B route and not Vector. We all need to organize ASAP. My experience with 6B was by the time all Landowners were aware of the impacts the project was well underway and difficult to stop. Jeff- can we coordinate a strategy for opposition? I am available anytime. Also, POLAR is still active and has non-profit status.
Glad to hear that POLAR is still active! I was hoping they were when I heard of this new fricking fracking pipeline. It’s not sounding good for me. I have both Vector and 6B coming through here. With all we’ve learned from the 6B fiasco let’s pray we can stop this!
I want to be organized in organizing opposition as well, but I’m not very administrative, how can we organize everyone to take action asap?
Any more news on the route through dexter/chelsea mi
Not that I am aware of. We may not know until the open house. But if we learn otherwise, we’ll be sure to update here.
First post here, but just wanted to let everyone know the ET landman just stopped by to get us to sign the survey paperwork. The proposed route (at least in this area, west of downtown Oxford) looks like they’re trying to run right down Granger Rd, then cut across my wet land area to meet the Enbridge lines, currently. He seemed a little surprised when I told him of the Consumers line they would have to cut through.
Hey, thanks so much, Chad. So did you give him permission to survey (I’d recommend saying no!). Does either Vector or Line 6B run through your property currently?
No, we told him we would be working through our lawyer just like we did with Enbridge. The ET pipeline would put 4 pipelines total running through my property (2 Enbridge, 1 Consumers plus ET)
@chadr could you post the lawyer you used here? I’d like to get ahead of the game and contact the lawyer too if he/she did a good job helping you with the enbridge thing
Let’s not jump the gun on this thing. Maybe we can beat it this time, but it doesn’t hurt to plan ahead. I think everyone has heard of Ackerman, Ackerman and Dynkowski. the firm that I used. Excellent results and minimum stress on my part. I’m sure there are many more however. Kim Savage worked with some of the defendants also. Let’s all meet up after the “open house” meetings. The Fenton meeting seems to be the most centrally located.
We used Kim Savage. Very familiar with Enbridge and a nice person to deal with and did right by us
Please help us landowners in Northwest Ohio as we are also greatly affected by this ET Rover Pipeline LLC
We just received letters to attend a meeting in Defiance Ohio. We have currently one 57 year old pipeline
and 57 years of heartache with it. We would like to keep posted on how you organized, what laws would help
stop this proposed new route, any good attorneys to consult with and any other details you would like to share.
Thank you Darla H
FYI: Informational meeting in Fulton County Sept. 17th http://swampbubbles.com/blogs/mrindependent/20140907/et-rover-pipeline-informational-meeting-be-held-napoleon-legion-hall#comment-89873
Homeowners are being signed up to survey property along the Fulton/Lucas county line. Property to be surveyed is in the Oak Openings Region a globally rare ecosystem. Anger is building as homeowners become educated.
Impacted residents should get hold of their congressman too. We need ‘elected officials’ to step in and request additional *hearings* on why this pipeline is even needed. Remind them of elections this fall.
